Roger Penske, owner of Penske Racing, indicated that Sam Hornish Jr will return to Penske’s three-car Sprint Cup team in 2011, according to SceneDaily. With Mobil 1 leaving at the end of the season, thanks to a deal with Shell Pennzoil, Penske would need to find a sponsor to re-sign Hornish.
Penske Championship Racing announced that Steve Addington will serve as crew chief for the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge and driver Kurt Busch next season. Addington comes to PCR from Joe Gibbs Racing, where he served as crew chief for Kurt’s younger brother, Kyle Busch, and the No. 18 Toyota.
