Former Formula One team manager Peter Windsor and Ken Anderson, a former F1 team engineer, announced that they would start their own team, USF1, based in Charlotte, NC.
BMW is developing a Formula One car using hybrid technology that is expected to hit the track next season. BMW is also testing “regenerative braking,” which allows electricity generated in the brakes as the car slows and to be stored in batteries or supercapacitors.
