Jeff Gluck, of SB Nation, called Danica Patrick’s performance during the New England 200 Nationwide Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway ugly, embarrasing, and shocking. It was embarrasing and ugly, but it wasn’t shocking.
For those of you who spent the entire NASCAR off-season under a rock, IZOD Indy Car Series driver Danica Patrick made her stock-car racing debut in the ARCA RE/MAX Series race at Daytona. She managed to stay out of trouble — with the exception of one spin and amazing save — to earn a respectable sixth-place finish.
Danica Patrick announced on Tuesday that she has signed with JR Motorsports to run a part time Nationwide Series schedule in 2010. She will also enter the ARCA Series season opener in order to get NASCAR approval for the N’wide Race.
