International Speedway Corporation has filed a petition with NASCAR to give Kansas Speedway a second Sprint Cup date as early as 2011. The track deserves a second date, an ISC spokesman says, because it has a history of well-attended events and the construction of a new casino overlooking the track. There is no word on possible dates, nor how the schedule would change to accommodate a second date at Kansas.
