Patrick In Talks With JRM, MWR?

Jayski is reporting via ESPN Insiders that Danica Patrick is in talks with JR Motorsports and Michael Waltrip Racing about running eight races in the Nationwide Series — and perhaps some Camping World Truck Series or ARCA Series races. Kevin Harvick Inc hasn’t been ruled out yet, either.

McMurray To EGR’s No. 1?

Jayski is reporting that Jamie McMurray is close to signing a deal to replace Martin Truex Jr in Earnhardt Ganassi Racing’s No. 1 Chevy next season. An announcement could come as early as next week. Truex is leaving the team to drive for Michael Waltrip Racing next season.

Richert To Be Crew Chief Of No. 7

Robby Gordon Motorsports announced that Doug Richert will assume crew chief duties for the No. 7 Toyota Camry starting this weekend at Martinsville Speedway. The team has not committed to him for 2010, but that could be in the works depending on how he does over the next five races.
