Jayski is reporting that Richard Petty Motorsports is expected to shrink from a four-car team to a three-car team in the coming weeks. If such a move were to happen, the no. 44 would shut down and driver AJ Allmendinger would move from the No. 44 to the No. 43. Reed Sorenson would be released from the team.
