RPM Will Consider Other Makes For 2010

While Richard Petty Motorsports officials said that the team would not switch to Toyotas before season’s end, Richard Petty indicated that the team would consider other automakers for next season and beyond.

Keselowski, Truex May Drive For JRM In Cup

Kahne May Switch To Toyota

Kasey Kahne and Richard Petty Motorsports may switch to Toyota later this season as a result of Chrysler pulling its support from the series. RPM currently only has enough parts for one Dodge engine.

Toyota May Pull N’Wide, Truck Series

Toyota may pull its support from the Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series in order to bring it in line with General Motors and Chrysler, who have pulled their support from the two series.

Patrick To Roush

Danica Patrick will be in a Roush Fenway Racing Ford next season, if she decides to come to NASCAR, Mike Mulhern is reporting.  If she were to enter, the plan would be to have her in the Nationwide Series for two years while making seven starts in a Sprint Cup car.

Kahne Wins Toyota/Save Mart 350

Kasey Kahne held off Tony Stewart for the final three restarts to win the Toyota/Save Mart 350. The win is the first for Richard Petty Motorsports.

Hornaday Wins Copart 200

Ron Hornaday won the Camping World Truck Series’ Copart 200 in dominating fashion, leading 180 of 200 laps. The victory came on his 51st birthday.
