That’s Racin’ is reporting that Jamie McMurray will not return to Roush Fenway Racing next season.
Representatives for McMurray notified several teams that he would be available next season. Several sources are said to have confirmed this, but none are mentioned in the article.
McMurray’s departure could allow Crown Royal, current sponsor of the No. 26 Ford driven by McMurray, to be paired with Greg Biffle.
The move would also allow Roush to go from five teams to four, which would put it in compliance with NASCAR’s four car limit on owndership.
McMurray could not be reached for comment.
