Jayski and SIRIUS Satellite Radio are reporting the Dan Stillman is going to take over as crew chief for Dale Earnhardt Inc.’s No. 01 driven by Regan Smith.

Smith said:

I’m not sure if I’m supposed to say anything yet but if I were to tell you Dan Stillman you didn’t hear it from me. I’m excited about Dan coming over and got a chance to talk to him last week some and really think highly of him. And, you know, he’s been at DEI before so he knows the company, knows a lot of people who work here and [I'm] looking forward to working with him this weekend.

Stillman previously worked as a shock specialist on the No. 8 Chevy, driven by Dale Earnhardt Jr. at the time. He was then moved up to crew chief of the DEI’s No. 11 Busch/Nationwide series entry, driven by Paul Menard. He earned a victory in 2006 when Menard won at the Milwaukee Mile in Wisconsin.

Last year, he was the crew chief for Kevin Harvick Inc.’s No. 33 Busch/Nationwide entry.
